I have a laptop on which i run Winxppro. My son has a laptop which runs vista. His computer has bitten the dust, wont even post or get into safe mode. I have taken his hard drive out and put it into an enclosure. I want to plug this encloseure into my machine so that I can save the contents of his profile for him. I can view some of the folders on the drive but the ones I need to access are greyed out. I have looked through the folder options and I see that everything I typically need to change is correctly unchecked.. ie.. file extensions, hidden files etc. i have applie the 'view' to all folders. I still cannot get to the folder I need to.

Any advice?
